Trump sued for calling coronavirus “Chinese”

A public organization that defends the rights of Chinese Americans has filed a lawsuit against former US President Donald Trump. The reason was the statements of the former head of state, in which he called the new type of coronavirus “the Chinese virus.” Information about this appeared on the TMZ portal.

Plaintiffs, the Coalition for Civil Rights of Chinese Americans, accuse Trump of defamation and moral harm. They want to hold the ex-president accountable for deliberately focusing on the country where the coronavirus outbreak was first discovered.

The prosecution believes Trump’s biased approach has contributed to the rise in violence against Asians in America.
