Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, stated that his administration planned to introduce a motion of confidence the next week to show that the AAP MLAs were still loyal to the party and had not left it.
NEW DELHI: Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, increased the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in response to last Friday’s raids at the home of his deputy, Manish Sisodia. He reiterated his party’s charge that the raids were a part of an ongoing campaign to overthrow the AAP government in Delhi and dissuade AAP from running in the Gujarat.
Kejriwal said that the attempt will fail because AAP MPs, who were allegedly given $20 million apiece to defect to the BJP, had declined the offer. “So far, 12 (MLAs) have come to me and reported BJP defection efforts. On the first day of a special session of the Delhi assembly, the chief minister claimed that they were being intimidated with false cases and promised 20 crore apiece.
The BJP has disputed the AAP’s assertions, claiming that instead of replying to inquiries about the excise policy that the CBI is looking into, the Delhi government was engaging in “theatrics” to distract attention. Anurag Thakur, a Union minister, questioned why the leaders of the country were not responding to his inquiries over the tax policy.
Arvind Kejriwal Amps Up Attack On Bjp
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searches on Sisodia in relation to the now-cancelled 2021–22 excise policy for the Union territory prompted the AAP to once again claim that the BJP was attempting to topple the AAP government in Delhi when it came to the decision to call the assembly session.
Kejriwal said that the attempt had fallen short. I’m impressed that none of you split up. Turning to the AAP members of the House, he stated, “They want 40 MLAs and want to provide 800 crore.
It’s a point Kejriwal said he wants to emphasise by calling for a trust vote in the assembly the next week to show that all AAP legislators support the AAP administration.
He said the BJP has previously overthrown governments in Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Arunachal Pradesh and that since no AAP MLA defected, “BJP’s operation lotus became operation puddle in Delhi.”
“Over the previous few years, they have so far purchased 277 MLAs. The rate was 20 crore in Delhi and 50 crore in Maharastra, and 6,300 crore of that amount was used to purchase MLAs.
People elect governments, and they also use a same strategy to overthrow them. They are against the people, according to Kejriwal. “I’ve heard that Jharkhand’s administration would be overthrown next,”
AAP leader Kejriwal attempted to draw a connection between higher taxes levied by the federal government and money required by the BJP to pay for defections and forgive bank loans.
To raise money to purchase MLAs, Kejriwal stated, “they would hike some taxes or gasoline prices in the next 10 days.”
“Inflation is a concern for every citizen of our nation. Due to the rising inflation rate, I am aware of folks who are cutting back on even necessities like veggies. The cost has increased. Fuel taxes and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue are used to overthrow governments, purchase MLAs, and forgive bad debts for rich pals. One individual (PM Narendra Modi) is using all of this money to satiate his or her need for power, according to Kejriwal.
